Why does your business need an email list?
I go into this in-depth in my blog post here, but let’s do a quick recap:
- You don’t own your social media accounts. At any time, they can be gone.

How to Grow Your Email List on Instagram
Okay, so you have a list. Great job! That’s step one of how to grow your list. Let’s talk about steps 2 & 3: take your photos, and be consistent!
How to Grow Your Email List on Instagram: Take your Photos
After you start your list, I recommend you take out your phone, and do a little photography, maybe even a little videography. You’re going to create a bank of high quality, bright images of your opt in. You’re going to use these over and over again on your Instagram, so get several (5-10) and crop some of them square (1080×1080) some of them portrait (1080px by 1350px), and some of them Story sized (1080×1920).
I would recommend 5-10 pics in each of the crops above. You can absolutely reuse some of them from crop to crop, but you want to have a decent span of pics to choose from because you are going to be posting these frequently for step three.
How to Grow Your Email List on Instagram: Be Consistent
Here comes the last step, and I have to admit it’s the hardest one. You have to consistently remind your Instagram audience that your email list exists and of its value for them. How? I have a couple of ways for you!
